How do I activate this eSIM?

Dial 900 once after you land in Vietnam to start your package. It takes a few seconds. This is different from Viettel: Mobifone requires this one manual step, it does not activate automatically.

Does this eSIM include a phone number, calls or SMS?

Yes. This is a genuine Mobifone subscriber line with a real Vietnamese phone number. You can receive local calls and SMS for free, including one-time verification codes from hotels, banks or ride-hailing apps. Outbound calls are not included on this plan.

How is this different from the Viettel data-only plans?

Viettel is data-only. This Mobifone plan adds a real Vietnamese phone number that can receive calls and SMS. Useful if you need to give out a local number, or receive a callback from a hotel or delivery driver, without carrying a second phone.

Do I need to set the APN manually?

Usually not. Activation is automatic once you've dialed 900. If your phone doesn't auto-configure, the APN is m-wap.
