  3. 3 Scan the QR code from your delivery email.
  4. 4 Label it “Travel”, and set it as your Cellular Data line.
  5. 5 Turn ON “Allow Cellular Data Switching” if you want fallback to your home line.

  2. 2 Tap Add eSIM / Download a SIM instead.

Activating a roaming eSIM

Regional and Asia plans connect by roaming onto a local partner network. You must switch Data Roaming ON for the travel eSIM line — and the first connection can take a few minutes.

iPhone

  1. 1 Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service), then tap your travel eSIM line.
  2. 2 Turn ON “Turn On This Line” and set it as your Cellular Data line.
  3. 3 Turn ON “Data Roaming” for that line.
  4. 4 No signal after a few minutes? Turn Airplane mode on for ~30s then off, or restart your phone.

Android

  1. 1 Settings → Network & internet → SIMs, then pick your travel eSIM.
  2. 2 Set it as your Mobile data SIM and make sure the SIM is turned on.
  3. 3 Turn ON “Roaming” for that SIM.
  4. 4 No signal after a few minutes? Turn Airplane mode on for ~30s then off, or restart your phone.

The first connection isn’t instant — it usually takes a few minutes to attach to a local network, and longer in remote or low-coverage areas. Your plan only starts counting once it connects.

Still no signal? Switching Airplane mode on for about 30 seconds then off — or restarting the phone — forces it to search for a network again.

Turn roaming ON for this travel eSIM only, never your home SIM. We can’t be responsible for any charges from your home carrier if you enable roaming on it.
